In this step-by-step guide, we’ll walk through configuring Pixel TikTok to track events via Events API, and then how to obtain the token required to enter in the My Agile Pixel settings.
Step 1
First, navigate to TikTok’s Ads Editor (https://ads.tiktok.com/) and from the top menu, go to:
Tools -> Events -> Web Events
Then, click on the button at the top left “Configure Web Events”, and “Manual Setup”.
Follow the steps until you attive to the “Add Parameters” step (step 2).
Here, select Events API.
Continue without modify the options untile you reach the final step and click on the “Finish” button.
Step 2
Go to the Settings tab in your pixel, then click on the “Generate Access Token” Button
Once clicked, the token will immediately appear below.
Copy it and save it in a text file: this token will need to be entered in the My Agile Pixel settings.
Step 3
Now your pixel is ready to track events via Events API.
All that’s left to do is to enter the Access Token, along with the Pixel ID, in the TikTok tab of the My Agile Pixel settings.
Remember to remove any JavaScript code installed in your theme and deactivate any other software that might add this code.
